tips & looks

On those days when you don’t feel like doing your usual makeup routine, here are the tried and true steps to make your skin glow, wake up your eyes, liven your lips and generally look fantastic in a New York Minute!

1. Get Sun Smooched! – When you’re feeling pale, blah or like something the cat dragged in, simply apply this liquid gel bronzer to the 5 points of your face: forehead, cheeks, chin, nose and neck.

The sheer, supernatural color will make you look like you just got off the plane from a sun drenched vacation! It’s NOT a self tanner, so you can control the color and it washes off at the end of the day. Choose Light for very fair skin, Medium for medium or olive complexions and Dark for already tan or caramel skin tones.

2. Wake up your Eyes! – Apply a moist concealer ALL ARONUD ENTIRE EYE AREA – lash line to brow bone too. Most of us have darkenss above the eye too. Concealer will bring your eyes forward, hide dark circles and redness and act as a base for any eye makeup. Concealer is your friend. Nothing perks up tired eyes like it!

Skin Stick 1 (Lightest fairest ivory)
Skin Stick 2 (Medium beige)
Skin Stick 3 (Golden olive tan)
Skin Stick 4 (Coffee mocha tan)

Then define your eyes and draw attention away from any bags or puffiness by lining upper lash line with The Perfect Eye Wand Liner. Simply draw the perfect neutral mahogany color along upper lash line. Then flip the wand over and draw the neutral eye shadow end onto the crease of your eyes for a flawless day look, or draw the shadow end over entire eye lid for the world’s fastest smoky eye!

Add One Stop Shopping Mascara to upper lash line and your eye lift is complete!

3. To luscious up your lips, apply lipstick, then liner for a softer line that won’t leave you with “ring around the lip” Next, add a shimmery gloss in a lighter color than your lipstick to the center of your lower lip, blending back and forth. The gloss gives added poutiness to your lip and the resulting look? Juicy & Kissable!

To consolidate and get this multi-dimensional look in a simple step, choose the 2Lips Lip Gloss. Since it’s a gloss, line your lips first. The matching pencil is in the cap!

After lining your lips, sweep on the gloss and you’ve got lip perfection!!

Here are some tried and true professional secrets that Ramy has used on photo shoots, runway shows, television and film...

mascara:
Apply mascara to Top lashes only! This will lift your eye dramatically and give you a clean, less made-up look! Mascara on lower lashes only "drags" the eye down and draws attention to fine lines, dark circles and bags!

blush:
To find the perfect shade of blush, sweep the blush over your eyes. If it looks good, it's the right shade for you. If it doesn't look good on your eyes, it won't look good on the rest of your face either! Once you find the correct shade, sweep it over your eyes to make eye color pop-over eyeshadows or alone!

The best way to apply blush: Smile, and sweep the blush from the apple of your cheeks up to your hairline, ending outside your eye area. Then work the blush brush back and forth outside the eye area so that the strongest point of color is there. This also gives the face a lift!

liner:
Use a darker liner for the upper lashline, and a lighter color (Defining Moment, Neutral Impact!) on your lower lashline. This also lifts the eyes because when someone looks at you, their eyes are drawn to the darker color.

philosophy: People should notice you, not your makeup. She is wearing the classic face of makeup including: liqui-powder elixir and studio stick concealer, pressed powder, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush, lipstick and Luminosity! But each person can pick and choose products to suit her special needs!
eyebrows:
Anything you apply to fill your eyebrows, whether pencil, shadow or Miracle Brow!; always brush it through. This removes the excess product and blends what's   left behind. You're left with a perfect looking eyebrow, not a made-up looking eyebrow.

lips:
Apply lipstick first, then apply lipliner. You will get a softer line, since the pencil will blend more smoothly than it would on a bare lip. This way, the lipstick and the pencil will blend away together, so you won't end up with "ring around the lip"! Once lipstick is applied, you can also better judge where you need pencil, and how to best shape lips!

If you want to build up the shape of your lips, to make them appear fuller, the trick is to stay in the "realm of reality"! Stay on your lipline and build the shape subtly, anything more will look artificial. Also use Luminosity! directly under your lower lip and between the peaks of your upper lip. The highlight effect gives the illusion of fuller lips!

To take your day look into evening instantly:
Enhance the (Perfect!) liner on your upper lashline, add Luminosity! to your eyes, cheeks, lips and collarbone. You can apply a darker shade of lipstick if desired.
